FPC Flexible Circuit board, full known as Flexible Printed Circuit, is a circuit board made of heterogeneous flexible materials. Compared with traditional rigid circuit boards, FPC flexible circuit boards have the advantages of higher shock resistance, bendability and light weight.

1. Production process

1. Material preparation: In the production process of FPC flexible circuit board, it is necessary to prepare flexible substrate, conductive layer, insulating layer and other materials. Polyimide films are commonly used for flexible substrates, copper foil is used for conductive layers, and polyimide films are commonly used for insulating layers.

2. Printing: The conductive layer material is applied to the flexible substrate through the printing process to form the required line pattern. The equipment used for printing is flat press, rotary press and so on.

3. Etching: The printed conductive layer material is etched to remove the unwanted part and leave the required line.


4. Copper foil stripping: The bonding layer between the etched conductive layer and the flexible substrate is stripped to make the circuit board softer.

5. Positioning hole drilling: According to the requirements, the positioning hole is drilled on the FPC flexible circuit board to facilitate the positioning in the subsequent process.

6. Processing: According to the design requirements, bend, shear and other processing technology, FPC flexible circuit board is made into the required shape.

7. Complete testing: electrical testing, reliability testing and other tests are carried out on the completed FPC flexible circuit board to ensure product quality meets requirements.
